I’m so excited that hemp seeds are now finally legal in Australia 🙌🏻 Woohoo.
I’m not normally a fan of protein powders cause often they are highly processed and have a bunch of ingredients we don’t really need.
However, I’m stoked to have found @myhemple not only is their team AMAZING and genuine (Georgia you’re the best 😏) but their protein is as natural as it comes 🙌🏻 Hemp seeds are ridiculously nutritious and rich in healthy fats, protein and various minerals.
I could get super sciencey right now and rant about all the benefits... but here’s a quick little summary. Hemp seeds are essentially 30% fat ( WE LOVE HEALTHY FATS) super high in two essential fatty acids, linoleic acid (omega-6) and alpha-linolenic acid (omega-3).Then loaded with vitamin E, & minerals phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, calcium, iron and zinc. But my favourite part is that I can digest it so well, often pea proteins/rice proteins or even whey make me super bloated and my body cannot digest properly 🙈This smoothies has almond milk, banana, hemp protein, spinach, frozen zucchini ( try this), peanut butter and ice 🤗

Ideally, to nutritionally balance a meal, it should consist of a source of protein, healthy fat and carbohydrate. Smoothies are no different! Today’s bowl had:
💪🏼 Protein - hemp protein
🥑 Healthy Fats - avocado and some coconut cream
🥝 Real food carbohydrate - zucchini, frozen kiwi, quinoa flakes
Brought together with ice and homemade cashew milk.
The great thing about hemp is that it provides all 20 Amino Acids, including all 9 of the essential amino acids (which our bodies are unable to make ourselves therefore we must get these from the diet). Normally only animal foods provide all 9 of these essential amino acids, so hemp is a great option for those looking for a well-balanced plant-based protein option!
